I WONT HURT YOU: a ritual for broken heartsHumankind is a broken hearted animal.
First performed as a part of Charlotte's BOOM festival in April 2016, I WONT HURT YOU is an ecstatic and solemn exploration of the loss of love, an absurd ritual of healing, an intimate and humorous poem drunkenly scrawled in the margin of a fairy tale. In June of 2016, XOXO took I WONT HURT YOU on the road to Asheville's Toy Boat Toy Boat Toy Boat Community Arts Space, and shared this work with a progressive and discerning NC audience with big hearts and sophisticated palates.
